PAPER PLATE CRAFT – Happy Father’s Day Badge
Everyone loves to be appreciated, and something made from scratch by your small budding artist will be especially sweet! Of course not everyone has the time to manage that process, so in this Paper Plate Craft we have an option for both scenarios!
Option 1: The first Father’s Day Gift Badge has been left open in the middle, so that you can outline your child’s hand on the 10 inch sized template, or print their fingerprint on the 7 inch Paper plate craft. This is a fun one to get your kiddo to “make” their own special present for Dad. Encourage that independence and let them be in charge of making something he will love!
Option 2: The second Badge in this Free Downloadable PDF is a ready made “Card”! Just print it out and glue to one of our Sugarcane Plates and you are good to go! If you choose to make the 7 inch version, you can glue it to a popsicle stick and wave it around like crazy when Dad gets home from work, or as another fun option, you can punch a hole in the top of the plate and have Dad wear his Badge of Honor all day long!
PAPER PLATE CRAFT – Killing the Dad Game Award
This Father’s Day Paper Plate Craft has been designed with the older child in mind! They are a little past the coloring phase, but ready to practice their writing skills on the back of the plate.
So here are a couple creative ideas on how you can use this free downloadable Father’s Day gift!
Option 1: If your child is just learning how to write, ask them to pick what words describe Dad, then help them write those words on the back of the plate! When they give it to Dad, they can show him the words that they chose and tell him why they picked it! For example, What is Dad? FUN! Why is Dad is fun? Because he always plays with me! Have your child choose a couple words, and prepare to be entertained with the amazing and funny things that kids come up with!
Option 2: Now if your child is older and ready to write on their own, have them write Dad a little note! Print out two of the template of your choice and grab two of our sugarcane paper plates! Turn the plate to face each other and staple them together leaving a section at the top unstapled… then slide those notes inside your little paper plate vault and glue the template of your choice to the outside on each side!
You have just created a treasure chest that Dad gets to open and read those touching notes. You can change or customize these crafts based on your kids abilities and help them celebrate that special Dad in their life!
